Part of building habits / enacting change on a daily basis is not only the motivation do to so, but also being honest with yourself as you as you make these changes. If you are committing to do something, however large or small, you have to be honest with yourself on the action of doing it. Now the odd bad day, or the one off I`ll do it tomorrow isn`t going to ruin progress, but if you are not honest about these days and your changes, then you won`t see the results, and as you don`t see a result it becomes down heartening and I think this effectively makes you give up! I say this as I set out to write 3 pieces yesterday and managed one. I did design a watch for a competition as well but I failed in writing 3 pieces. I cannot tell myself that the other work compensated as it didn`t. I`m not going to beat myself up about it but I am going to be honest with myself and get back on track.
Honesty, Making Changes, and not fooling yourself…
So article one is on its way, two more to go and I am working at change. I need to up the pace a little though, so that I can add a few more small changes. I`m not fooling myself that this is going to be easy, it`s actually the opposite as this is one of those points where I know it is going to be difficult and take consistency, mindset and will.
Don`t believe the hype, don`t fall for the FUD, DYOR and work at the changes…
There is also Hype and FUD with change and this is sometimes used to manipulate change. Crypto and certainly DeFi is starting to have some huge change on TradFi, and due to this we are seeing how reaction to change drives FUD Hype and Honesty. Is DeFi better than Tradfi, to some people yes, to others a HUGE no, lets not fool ourselves, it is a yes and no. DYOR, Yes as it offers alternatives and inclusion, no as there are a lot of scams . Yes as it pays better rates, no as its high risk and volatile. If you want to join in and change the way you look at finance it`s going to take consistency, mindset and will…
All animals are equal…
But some are more equal than others, goes the line from the famous novel Animal Farm, by George Orwell. This quote is timeless and often plays out perfectly. Take the head of a Global Investment Bank (ok easy pickings with this one, but still) Jamie Dimon; Ponzi, Worthless, Fraud, Major Skeptic, these are just a few of the words he has used over the years, whilst as the bank he heads up, JP Morgan, uses blockchain, has their own token “JPM Coin” and has admitted that decentralised Finance is “real”. Mindset when these kinds of people take is everything.
IN A 3 1/2 YEAR PERIOD JP MORGAN HAS BEEN FINED $35.3Billion…
Those kind of fines are not just for the odd indiscretion or mistake, and they are certainly not the only ones but… the best one out of these, a fine for facilitating the Berni Madoff Ponzi Scheme of $1.7B from an irony perspective that is, certainly not from the poor investors perspective!! The Dimon mindset is don`t trust crypto but trust us??? I agree that Crypto is also guilty of all the words used by Mr Dimon in the paragraph above. But come on, if you think for one minute that the Banks are not “at it” and crypto just is, then you really are fooling yourself and when it comes to your changes, do the opposite of Mr Dimon and be honest with yourself…
Thank you for your time…
